PSA Soccer Programs - House League
Micro
Ages 4 to 7 (Juvenile)
Micro is played on a small pitch.
Four players from each team on the field – NO GOAL KEEPER
Rotate every (approx.) 4-5 minutes max., at a natural stoppage in play.
Use #3 ball**
Home team supplies game ball
Kick-off from center field - Start of game - After every goal
Kick-ins for out of bound ball (no throw-ins)**
No penalty kicks No off-sides to be called
Hand ball
Only stop the play when intentionally done, provide explanation to the
players
Ensure good game flow
When in doubt leave the ball to the team in the defensive zone (out of
bounds)
Encourage all players and opponents
Few stoppages in play as possible
U7** goal keepers Use #4 ball Out of bound ball (throw-ins)
Cleats
are compulsory
The Pierrefonds Soccer
Association provides the uniform at the beginning of the season (jersey,
shorts, socks). SHIN PADS are compulsory at all levels of Soccer and are
not supplied by the PSA.
Role & Conduct Descriptions
THE ROLE OF THE PARENTS
– Make micro-soccer an enjoyable experience for their child, team-mates
and other children involved.
– Insist that their child obey the rules.
– Show support and appreciation for coaches and referees.
– Promote the value of the effort. – Applaud good plays for both teams.
– Set a good example at all times.
– Teach their child to accept victories and defeats gracefully.
– Try to acquire a knowledge and understanding of the game’s rules and
regulations.
The parents must not:
– Scream at their child when he/she makes a mistake.
– Criticize the referee.
– Criticize the coach’s work.
