President's Message
Welcome to the 2013 season, this year we expect our membership to be in the range of 2,500 – 2,600 players ranging in age from four right on up to senior. This year we will also see the first full year of operation of our brand new Clubhouse located at 4600 Des Cageux. This facility with its reception area, conference, storage and dressing rooms greatly enhances our continuing effort to provide the PSA membership with the necessary service.
As in the past I urge you too use our constantly improving website www.soccerpierrefonds.ca as your single and most valuable, source of information on all PSA events. This web site along with email has now become our main method of communication. Our electronic newsletter PSA News keeps growing and now is sent to over 1,500 email addresses. If you want to know what is going on in PSA and be notified automatically about field closures I recommend that you sign-up.
As you all know, we cannot forget that without the hundreds of dedicated and hardworking volunteers PSA would not exist. It is due to their investment in time and effort that PSA is able to offer a wide variety of programs for all ages and skill levels. While the overall situation has improved somewhat we are constantly on the lookout for new and motivated volunteers.
Some of the benefits of volunteering, besides spending time with your children, are that it is a great way of integrating yourself into your community and meeting your fellow citizens from the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro. Why not give it some thought? It can be just one event in particular if you wish and you do not necessarily have to be an adult. Drop us a line and provide us with your comments.
This year we will hold the 18th Edition of our Annual 3 vs. 3 Challenge. Be it a recreational or competitive team I hope that you will enter this year’s tournament. Our Player Development Programs also continue to flourish. Our Technical Committee has developed a number of new programs for both House League and Inter City players alike and our Winter and Summer Camps keep growing.
Finally, but extremely important please do not forget that our “expanded” Executive Committee (listed in the contact section) is here to work on behalf of your children. Should you have any questions, thoughts, comments or recommendations please drop us a line or feel free to approach any of us at our parks throughout the Borough.
In conclusion, I wish you all a fantastic summer of soccer whether you are playing, coaching, refereeing or just plain watching and cheering. I also encourage you to take note of and to patronize our sponsors who are duly listed in the Sponsors Section. To our Coaches, Referees, Volunteers, my Executive Committee and the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro I thank you all for your continued hard work and dedication.
See you on the soccer fields of Pierrefonds-Roxboro this summer!
